32m TGS33.440 Water Tower Fire Fighting Vehicle 6×4
The TGS33.440 is a 6×4 water tower fire fighting vehicle based on an IVECO chassis. It is intended for high building rescue and large fire disaster fighting. Its boom reaches a working height of 32m. A HALE fire pump supplies 6000L/min at 1.0MPa, or 3000L/min at 1.7MPa for high pressure work. The chassis is a 6×4 unit with a long wheelbase for boom stability.
A V-type 6-cylinder turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine is rated 440hp at 1800r/min. Maximum torque is 2100N.M at 1080rpm under the Euro IV emission standard. Chassis weight is 9300kg and maximum allowable load is 24700kg. Top speed is 104km/h on a 4500+1350mm wheelbase, and the turning diameter stays below 22.3m. The 6×4 driveline puts drive torque on the rear bogie.
The boom structure is a telescopic ladder with a folding section. The pump uses a four piston water device and a mechanical seal. The vehicle carries 4 quick-connect water outlets on each side. A slip-ring driving system lets the ladder rotate continuously through 360-degree. The nozzle on top can spray while the ladder is in motion.
The water tower fire fighting vehicle is deployed where the fire is above ground monitor reach. High rise construction, oil chemistry plants, large warehouses and public places are typical. Its contracted lines layout keeps maintenance access simple. The monitor can keep spraying during boom movement, so crews work without stopping the jet. That capability shortens the time between attacks on a facade.
