M2491 Water and Foam Fire Truck with 6500 L Water
The M2491 is a water and foam fire truck carrying 6500 L of water and 1500 L of foam. Engine torque is 1190 N.m for the run to the fire ground. Stations and plant brigades use it where one chassis must carry a large agent load and a full hose complement. It arrives with the suction and delivery sets already stowed.
The side girder is welded from high quality steel. Cross beams of equal strength join the two longitudinal members, and high strength bolts fix the body to the installation parts. That keeps the original chassis rail straight and limits distortion from the body. The equipment box and pump room use Q235A steel with aluminium alloy.
Body panels are anodised LF2 rust-prevention flat aluminium plate. Compartment doors are lightweight aluminium alloy roller shutters. The pump room rear door lifts up to shade the weather and shed falling objects. Pedal plates at the bottom of the shutters use a steel frame with aluminium checkered plate. Gas spring fastening holds them, and each plate bears 150 kg or more.
The hose inventory covers suction hose of 150×2000 mm. Delivery hose comes in 65 mm and 80 mm sizes, in 20 m lengths. A water filter, an FFS80 delivery bead, an FJ150 collecting breeching, snap-type wyes and a KJ65/80 increaser are included. Hand tools include hydrant wrenches, a QZG3.5/7.5 monitor, an air foam gun and a foam wrench.
