OW-001 Overwater Rescue Robot for Fire Department Water Search
The OW-001 is a full-automatic overwater rescue robot built for fire department water search, patrol and pollution response. It is an unmanned surface craft rather than a manned boat, so crews launch it from the bank and keep it working where swimmers would be at risk. Its headline capability is a 75 kg payload carried on a hull of 40 kg or less that needs only 30 cm of water to operate.
The hull measures 1370 x 680 x 450 mm before inflation and 1650 x 890 x 540 mm once inflated. That footprint fits a light pickup or a small trailer. A 2000 m communication link keeps the operator linked to the craft while it runs sampling, search and inspection tasks. Seakeeping is rated to wind grade 3 and sea wave grade 2, and the composite hull keeps the unit light enough to launch by hand.
Build follows the same logic. The hull is molded from a new high-strength composite material that resists corrosion and takes knocks against quays and rocks. Onboard video can embed date, time, depth, temperature and navigation data into the feed, so every sortie becomes a record rather than an impression. The platform is supplied with CCC, CE, EN and NFPA certification for fire department application.
Duty cycles are short and repetitive. A crew can launch, run a search pattern, recover and relaunch the same OW-001 through a shift, which suits reservoir patrol, harbor security and flood response. Because the craft draws so little water, it reaches flooded streets and shallow margins where a rigid-hull boat cannot follow. Recovery takes one person and a strop, and the deflated hull folds to its transport size for a utility vehicle.

Where it fits
Suited to harbor and reservoir patrol, flood search, pollution source tracking and inspection of shallow margins where manned boats cannot operate. Fire departments run it as a routine surveillance platform and as the opening asset of a water rescue, when launch speed matters more than payload.
